Yesterday was the day that we commemorate as Puerto Rico’s Discovery by Spain. But, Puerto Rico was already there, the Tainos were already living in Borinquen. Puerto Rico had already been discovered. So, more than a discovery this was a meeting between different races, that including the africans and the americans years later made what is known today as a Puerto Rican.
What is your view on “El Descubrimiento de Puerto Rico”?

Encontramiento ? Sera ENCUENTRO ! Encuentro de dos mundos…La proxima vez que no sea una foto de una indigena del amazonas….!!!!
Tratamos de conseguir de Tainos, pero no hay.
Hoy en dia es muy dificl conseguir una foto de un Taino. Lamentablemente los europeos los mataron con sus enfermedades y abusos. Puede ser q en la Cordillera encuentres una q otra persona con rasgos fuertes pero de seguro no es 100% Taino!
I say Puerto Rico was originally discovered by our Taino Indians and later REdicovered by Spain at which time they discovered the best land they ever set foot on. That is when, rather then just return, they chose to stay a while, interteine cultures because ours was just too gr8 a culture to overlook and eventually as time passed as you say, along with African influence and other gr8 influences, we have the Puerto Rico we now know, our Beautiful Isla del Encanto.

The discovery was that in a beautiful island there lived beautiful hard working, intelligemt and peaceful people called tainos. They learmed much more than us than we learned of them. We still live here in Puerto Rico and in the carribean!!!!!!!!

Eso mismo pienso yo que fueron los arcaicos, los igneris y luego la mezcla de esas tribus con los tainos los que en realidad descubrieron a PR y luego re- descubierta por los primeros europeos en llagar al nuevo mundo
