<p><strong>Ingredients:</strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;">2 cups  water<br />
1/2 tsp. salt<br />
1 1/2 c. cornmeal or corn flour</span></strong></p>
<p>Boil water with salt in a medium saucepan. Take off the burner and add the cornmeal (flour). Mix with a fork until a paste forms. Let it cool. Start forming the sorullos, until you finish the mixture.</p>
<p>Fry the &#8220;sorullos&#8221; in medium-high with vegetable oil in a frying pan, until they get yellow and crunchy.</p>
<p><strong>Dip:</strong></p>
<p>Mix mayonnaise and ketchup to taste. Add minced garlic or garlic salt, pepper to taste. Serve after you fry them. They make good appetizers.</p>

<p><strong>Ingredientes:</strong></p>
<p>3 plátanos verdes</p>
<p>1/2 libra de chicharrón</p>
<p>3 dientes de ajos</p>
<p>1 cucharada de aceite de oliva</p>
<p><strong>Procedimiento:</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">El mofongo puertorriqueño es muy famoso y es el mejor. Monde los plátanos verdes y córtelos diagonalmente en tajadas de aproximandamente 1 pulgada. La mejor receta de mofongo de Puerto Rico se come con caldo de res. Remojelos en 4 tazas de agua con 1 cucharada de sal durante unos 15 minutos. Escúrralos. Caliente abundante aceite vegetal. Añada las tajadas de plátano y fria lentamentea temperatura moderada por unos 15 minutos, hasta que se cuezan, sin llegar a tostarse. Saquelas y escúrrralas. En un mortero, muela bien los ajos y mezclelos con el aceite de oliva. Sáquelos del mortero. Muela en el mortero 3 tajadas de plátano frito. Añada un poco de chicharrón y muélalos.
